HOW TO - PC Collimate port interfacing

Pportinterfaceadaptorandlcd
David writes -

"Using the collimate port is often easier to work with then a microcontroller. I find that testing code on the PC can be much easier then going full-strength to the firmware as the developer utilities for the PC platform are ameliorate This is especially true when running with a new device such as a graphic LCD. Once you get your code running through the PC printer port, then you can easily port the code and what you have learned into the firmware." [via] - Link.

EA: Games Use 20 Percent of PS3´s Power

An Electronic Arts exec estimated recently that the company´s Playstation 3 games are only using astir 20 percent of the console´s power.

"The hale industry knows it´s been a challenge; the PS3´s a very complex set up of equipment. On one hand it´s a challenge, on the other hand there´s enormous likely in that box. I intend it´s going to take developers a little while to figure out how to unlock that power.

We´ve got games coming out now where we feel we´ve hit maybe 20 per cent of the likely of PlayStation 3. We know the power´s there, but like any new platform it´s going to take us a little bit of time to unleash it.

Was it more complex than we were expecting? Yes, probably; there were some challenges that we didn´t expect. We´ve got enormous confidence long-term that it´s going to be a phenomenal games machine."

The question is how much of the 360´s power was being used in it´s early games by Electronic Arts. Specifically, I´d love to know that astir Fight Night 3 which, to me at least, looks nearly identical on both systems.
